MKE Black Business Spotlight

Welcome to the MKE Black Business Spotlight! Today we feature the owner of Bloom Healing Arts Academy, Tawn Williams, whose business offers spiritual wellness coaching and consulting. Read on to learn more about Tawn and their business.

Tell us about yourself, where you’re from and what you enjoy.

I moved to Wisconsin about 3 years ago from Arizona where I grew up! My favorite thing to do in the summer is take in a great festival or two, but being a foodie at heart, discovering a new place with great food tops my list of activities. I also enjoy crafting new cocktails at home for family and friends.

Why did you start your business? What makes you passionate about it?

I started Bloom Healing Arts Academy out of the desire to help bring Spiritual Wellness to the workplace. The workplace has so much influence on our well being both inside and outside of the office, and so I thought this is where we could be the most impactful. By partnering with corporations who are looking to lead with authenticity, who are passionate about their teams, and who are truly seeking to make a positive impact on their people, we ultimately create a really healthy ripple effect in both the work and home environment. This is what I’m truly passionate about: supplying people with the tools they need to make a positive difference from within first, and then outward. In this way, together, we create BIG changes to the world around us.

What do you want people to know about your business?

I would love for people to know that Spiritual Wellness is not cut and dry, and it really is about finding what resonates with you. We recently launched an online wellness platform that is live and interactive, with a wide range of modalities like breathwork, hypnotherapy, sound baths, and even Feng Shui! This platform is available to everyone, quite affordable, and classes can range anywhere from 30 mins to an hour. Truly, it’s an easy and fun way to discover what Spiritual Wellness means to you!

Please explain why your business is important to the community.

Bloom is important to the community because we bring a diverse aspect to the wellness industry. People of color are not always represented in the space, and since Bloom has a team of instructors that span the globe, we welcome people from all walks of life to discover who they are and make them feel welcome.

Anything else we should know?

We will be hosting an online wellness summit this spring/summer. The summit will include a variety of classes for potential “students” to enjoy.
