Tell us about yourself, where you’re from and what you enjoy.

I am originally from Racine, and my wife comes from the suburban area outside of Milwaukee. We enjoy small scale farming, hanging out with the kids and helping out in the community.

Why did you start your business? What makes you passionate about it?

I felt like I needed to learn how to farm out of the blue. Something told me that I was supposed to move away from the computer path I was on, and move into working outside growing food. I didn’t have any experience, but after talking to my wife, I decided to move into a summer farming program, and from there I got connected to the Fondy Farm program. We are now farming veggies, herbs and flowers on an acre, and we are looking into loans to purchase our own farm with at least 10 acres. I am passionate about what I do because it is about more than just me and my family, it is about everyone around us. Farming is one of the main ways that I feel I am being called to make the world better. This understanding makes even the worst farming day enjoyable.

What do you want people to know about your business?

All of our products are made by hand in small batches, are all natural, and we make all of the products ourselves.

Please explain why your business is important to the community.

We are a local business, so every dollar you spend with us stays in the community. We make stuff that the community needs, and we price our stuff fairly. We intend to hire local people to help us make our stuff as we grow and expand our natural care line.
